Nordic Business Council Ukraine is an independent business association supporting companies from the New Nordics — the Nordic and Baltic countries — in the Ukrainian market.
Our purpose is to make cooperation between Nordic, Baltic, and Ukrainian businesses easier, more effective and more successful.
We help companies understand the market, build the right relationships, and address the practical challenges of operating in a new and fast-changing environment. We also represent our members in dialogue with Ukrainian authorities, institutions and other relevant stakeholders.
NBC combines local presence in Ukraine with deep regional expertise. Our offices and representatives in Kyiv and Lviv allow us to serve members across the country, while our Nordic and Baltic network brings together companies, experts, and decision-makers with a shared interest in Ukraine’s future.

The Minds Behind the NBC
Kristian Ylinen
CHAIRMAN (HELSINKI)
Kristian Ylinen is the Chairman of the Nordic Business Council Ukraine and the CEO of the largest reconstruction advisory company in the Nordics.
A recognised expert in the reconstruction economy funding, he brings extensive knowledge of the commercial, institutional, and strategic questions shaping Ukraine’s recovery and long-term development.
As Chairman, Kristian guides NBC’s strategic direction and strengthens its connections with business leaders, experts, and decision-makers across the Nordic and Baltic region.
Olena Litvinova Kutsai
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (KYIV)
Olena Litvinova-Kutsai leads NBC’s operations in Ukraine. She has a strong professional background in public affairs and reconstruction advisory services, with experience at the intersection of business, government and international cooperation.
As Executive Director, Olena supports NBC members in navigating the Ukrainian market, building relevant relationships and engaging effectively with key stakeholders.
Jukka Laikari
HEAD OF AVDISORY and PARTNERSHPS (LVIV)
Jukka Laikari has worked in the Ukrainian market since 2009 and is one of the few Nordic Ukraine-specialists with extensive on-the-ground experience from both the pre-war era and past years.
He is exceptionally well-connected across the reconstruction economy and various industries in Ukraine. In NBC, he is the chairman of the Advisory Board. Additionally, he leads the advisory services and builds NBC’s network of trusted experts.
